XRT Website

XRT as an organisation has a fascinating beginning in the roots of advanced science back in the early 90’s within the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). Created to commercialise unique X-ray phase imaging technology as a result of CSIRO research, the applications for their expertise and product are used all over the world in leading hospitals and research institutions.

The original website was created by Areeba back in the days of the dot com boom of 1999-2000. Serving the needs of a highly literate audience of both academic and industry specialists, the original site stood for 5+ years as a focal point for visitors who wanted to learn more about this organization. Ongoing growth and expansion saw the website taken in house and maintained, but as time moved on business priorities and focus had changed, leaving XRT with a website which had grown to an unwieldy size – far beyond its original design parameters.

When XRT approached Areeba in 2005/2006, the business was going through some significant change in that they were opening a London office and commercialising the availability of the technology both into Europe as well as the United States. The requirements of communicating to different times zones and a new suite of products were bought to Areeba to assist. 

Ongoing updates to the website are managed in house by a content management system Areeba has implemented. Consulting expertise was sought in how best to communicate to an audience which wanted to learn as much as possible of the experience XRT bought to commercial imaging processes.
