Bayer CropScience Website

Period of Projects: February 2002 - Present

Bayer CropScience was established in Australia in August 2002 following the global merger between Bayer Crop Protection and Aventis CropScience. The result of this merger is a company that offers arguably the most comprehensive crop protection portfolio in the world. It holds top market positions in all its core business areas, operates in 122 countries and has now created two new divisions: BioScience and Environmental Science.

Bayer CropScience required a website that reflected the dominant position of the company. The website needed to communicate the new structure of the business, reinforcing Bayer CropScience's strengths and focusing on product information.

The site had to adhere to existing brand guidelines to reinforce the company's offline marketing;

  • Be fast and easy to access for all users including those in regional and remote locations;
  • Efficiently house a variety of product information, from marketing material to Material Safety Data Sheets;
  • Be simple for in-house staff to maintain;
  • Have low operating costs.

The website successfully met Bayer's strict requirements of time and budget.

The results not only met all international corporate standards, but also improved upon existing code where that code was deemed to be inefficient.

All Bayer CropScience product information now exists in a central repository allowing easy access to information and less confusion arising from multiple versions in disparate locations.

“Areeba’s approach to the development of the site and the project management of the implementation was highly professional. On the lighter side, dealing with Areeba is always enjoyable, which is an element quite often missing.”
