DHS Departmental Plan 2005-06

DHS approached Areeba in May 2005 through the Victorian Government ePanel to implement their departmental plan online in a manner that was easily digestible by staff.

The brief included:

• Make the information easy to follow and include summary information with the ability to drill down to detailed information if required
• Provide a tour facility to allow staff to step through the key messages of the plan
• Make it AA Accessibility compliant
• Follow DHS' strict development and Meta guidelines
• Make it attractive and easy to read

Areeba delivered the plan in a short timeframe and worked with DHS to have it meet the requirements of accessibility and government.

The plan is an excellent example of converting reports to the online format and use of accessibility and standards compliance.

The plan has been well received within the department and admired for its design and information presentation.
