Devondale required a fun, interactive, activities based website for kids that would reinforce Moo Zoo's position in the healthy snack food market.

History

Devondale is a leading light in the Australian retail sector, wholly owned by the Murray Goulburn Co-operative. With an industry saturated with unhealthy snack choices for children, Devondale launched Moo Zoo, a fun, animal-shaped snack made with 100% real cheese aimed squarely at children aged 3 to 9 and their health conscious mothers.

Challenge

With the newly created brand still in its fledgling stages, and the product still seeking traction in the market place, Areeba had the opportunity to influence the brand direction and values by way of the website. With the target audience requiring core messages of nutrition and the website having to convey a responsible message of education, Areeba were tasked to create an interactive environment which would portray the Devondale Moo Zoo Brand in a positive light, whilst also making it fun and engaging for the target market.

Solution

Areeba developed a website that incorporates games and activities based around `colouring in', `memory tests' and `spot the difference'. In the colouring game, visitors select scenes, manipulate the Moo Zoo animals and colour in the different scenes. Artwork can be stored in the Gallery and searched upon to find friends artwork. An integrated e-newsletter campaign system was also built to help facilitate the viral component promoting the website. A high focus on Usability, Flash and User Interface all contributed to the creation of the website and sales success of the Moo Zoo product.
