Problem Gambling Website
Problem Gambling Victoria, originally developed for the Department of Human Services, is a public website resource to help members of the public identify and address problem gambling issues with themselves and those around them. The website has very strict requirements in relation to Usability and Accessibility as well as rigid internal departmental requirements in relation to branding and web standards. Designed with the audience in mind, the website is deliberately lacking in glamour with a focus on functionality over form. Instead, there is heavy emphasis on making information easily accessible and usable, including multi-lingual access.
The brief included design services, implementing the Macromedia Contribute CMS and building a customised website reporting system using ASP and SQL Server. This system is used to archive site contact, feedback and search statistics.
In July 2005 responsibilities for the Problem Gambling website were moved to the Department of Justice. Areeba has continued our involvement with the website providing advice and services for ongoing development.
