History
RedDot Solutions has over a decade of experience in Web Content Management, providing solutions to create, manage and deliver the content that drives business. The suite of content management products are recognised throughout the industry and via independent agencies for their ease of use, leading multilingual content management, enterprise Web 2.0 capabilities, content integration, and contextual delivery. 2006 saw the acquisition of parent company Hummingbird by Open Text, which saw RedDot become part of the largest independent eCMS organisation in the world.
Challenge
With consolidation of its operations due to the acquisition by Hummingbird and later by Open Text, RedDot had a challenge on its hands in communicating the strengths of the suite of products specialised in online content management. The entire RedDot website network required a reworking of the platform to showcase its products to better assist the sales teams around the world. The brief was to deliver an engaging and visually immersive experience which would reflect the brand more prominently and highlight the usability of the product suite. Key to this was a strategy needing to cater for regionalised, multilingual content variants.
Solution
Launched in April 2008, the RedDot Global website was the first of five phases outlined by Areeba:
- Use of RedDot CMS and RedDot LiveServer to better present the RedDot suite of content management products, case studies from around the world, knowledge share, webinars, training and event information.
- Content from regional sales offices is managed and published using RedDot CMS and LiveServer and is reviewed and translated via the RedDot Translation Workflow.
- Extensive use of Flash illustrates the product's capabilities and flexibility.
- User registration for viewing webinars enables tracking of prospects and customers worldwide.
