Safe Return Home ID Assist

Period of Project: January 2003 - Present

The Safe Return ID·Assist System is devised and owned by Applied Aged Care Solutions (AACS). It is an online ASP.Net registration system for people at risk in the community such as people with Alzheimer’s, autism and dementia.

The system is designed for use by individuals, agencies (such as nursing homes, schools, doctors and government agencies) and the police. The system is endorsed by the Victorian Government, the Victorian and Tasmanian Police and various Alzheimers and carers associations across Australia.

The ID·Assist system has two main purposes.

  1. If a registered person is found and due to their ailment is not in a position to identity themselves then the police can use the system to help identify the person, quickly contact the carers and provide appropriate medical treatment if required.
  2. If in the event that a registered person goes missing and is not yet located, the system can be used to provide a quick and pertinent missing person report that can be easily migrated into the police system to maximise the chance that the missing person is found, cared for appropriately and quickly returned to their carers.

Areeba helped to design the system, developed the database and application and provided design services including corporate identity, branding, forms and brochures.
