Saltram Estate Website

Period of Project: October 2002 - Present

 

Saltram is a major premium wine maker from the Barossa Valley in South Australia and one of the many premium brands of Foster's Australia.

As part of re-launching the Saltram brand Areeba were approached to produce a dynamic website as an integral part of the brand's marketing efforts.

The objectives of the project were to:

  • Leverage the existing brand presence and enhance brand equity.
  • Provide consumers with a variety of information from tasting notes, awards, news and events in the Barossa region, to the Saltram brand heritage.
  • Increase the awareness of the Saltram Estate – the restaurant and cellar door, the winery, and its products.
  • Provide a site that is professional, engaging, and easy to use.
  • Appeal to an extended audience of Australian wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts, wine trade personnel, global consumers, media personnel, and brand stakeholders.
  • The result is a superb looking site reflective of the brands core values. Areeba’s creative and technical talents delivered an engaging and interactive site which is both aesthetically appealing and intuitive to use.

The site is an integral part of the Saltram identity, representative of the brand and the Barossa wine region.

Flash is used on the website in a subtle and effective way. Areeba’s database development allows tasting notes, reviews, and awards for each of the wines to be drawn from a centralised SQL Server database ensuring the content is kept fresh and relevant.

In early 2005 the brand evolved slightly and Areeba were again involved to reflect these changes onto the website. Because of the structured nature of Areeba's development the update was delivered with minimum fuss.
