Youth Central engaged Areeba as part of our ongoing relationship to design a website aimed at Schoolies, students who have finished year 12 and are holidaying at locations all around Australia.

History

The Schoolies Week website is an initiative of the Department of Planning and Community Development and operates as a sub-site of the main Youth Central website.

Challenge

With thousands of year 12 students flocking to destinations all across Australia following the conclusion of their studies, Youth Central decided that they needed a website able to communicate directly with those planning their end of year holidays. The brief was to leverage against the core Youth Central Brand and create a Schoolies Week sub-site that looked energetic and reflected “like summer” kind of feeling.

Solution

After conducting a series of meetings with Youth Central to form a creative brief, Areeba's design team worked towards a design that would enable Youth Central to disseminate content to their core target of Year 12 students, plus other interested groups such as parents, community and local business. The result is a highly stylised and beautifully textured site that references the Youth Central Brand and Identity in a way that is also distinctive and fresh. The project was turned around in a short time period of 3 weeks, from creative brief through to design execution and creation of assets.
